Where I live, it is illegal to sell raw (unpasteurized) milk but you can feed your family with it if you own your own cow. I actually have owned my own cow, and I did drink raw milk for many years. I greatly preferred it, and it took a long time to get used to homogenized and pasteurized milk when my cow was sold. I never got sick from it, but it is important to consider that pasteurization kills harmful bacteria.
